Copywriter Lines Up to Lead

We’re pleased to announce that The Adams Group writer Andrew Evans has been named President-elect of the AAF of the Midlands for 2009-2010.

What’s the AAF of the Midlands, you ask? Well, it’s our local chapter of the American Advertising Federation – the oldest national advertising trade association representing 50,000 advertising professionals worldwide.

In addition to preparing to lead our local AAF chapter in 2010-2011, Andrew will serve as communications/interactive chair. He will be responsible for conducting all internal and external club communications including traditional media, social media and email, as well as managing the club website. He’ll also serve as the staff photographer. (He needed to buy a decent camera anyway.)

Over the past two years, Andrew learned the ropes while serving as the board’s programs chair and ADDY creative chair. We wish him well in continuing his service to our industry. And we hope he can arrange for another cigar bar at next year’s ADDY awards.
